When Ripley's lifepod is discovered via a salvage crew over 50 years later, she reveals that terra-formers are on the very planet they discovered the alien species. When the company sends a household of colonists out to check out her story, all touch is lost with the planet and colonists. They enlist Ripley and the colonial marines to return and seek for answers.
