During its return to the earth, commercial spaceship Nostromo intercepts a misery sign from a distant planet. When a three-member team of the team discovers a chamber containing heaps of eggs on the planet, a creature interior one of the eggs attacks an explorer. The entire team is unaware of the coming near near nightmare set to descend upon them when the alien parasite planted interior its unfortunate host is birthed.
